Ethiopia eVisa now available

Ethiopian eVisa update: for all those that don't know, it's now possible to get a 30 day, single entry tourist visa for Ethiopia online (assuming your country is eligible). My Australian cousin got his via this service about 2 weeks ago. Happy days!
UPDATE: should point out that while the website says this service is only for entry at Addis international airport, we did immigration at Omorate (land border) and my cousin successfully used his eVisa.

I noticed the e-visa came into effect a few months ago but, according to the Ethiopian government website, ONLY for visitors arriving at Bole International Airport in Addis.

It is a bit of a risk to try it at a land border and, I presume, that at Omorate they could hardly turn away one traveller in the party when there was no way a person on his own - without transport - could be turned away back into the deserts surrounding Lake Turkana.
