    Default Bird ID

Anyone know what bird this is ? Found it dead on the lawn at a place near Hoedspruit where we stayed Sat night. Thought it is a nightjar, but not sure. Seen to have flown into overhead wires during the night.

Please help confirm the ID of this bird. Photo taken in Vilanculos, Mozambique
Looks like it could be a Hartlaubs Gull but book shows it is not found in this area?
An immature Grey-headed Gull also looks similar?

Looks to me like a non-br black headed gull. Grey headed has a pale eye. It's listed as a rare vagrant.

Ruff has a much shorter, generally all black, down-curved bill
Ruff has greenish to orange legs

    Agree with others, Bar-tailed Godwit.

The pink base to the long upturned bill is also distinctive when separating from other waders (not other Godwits).

My wife photographed this weird looking bird at Kori Campsite 2 in the Central Kalahari last week. Would appreciate any comments regarding what it is called.
