8 Adults + 2 teen boys are off to Liuwa Plains late Nov/early Dec... The Fortuner1, Freelander2 and Prado are going Joburg > Nata > Katima > Mongu > Liuwa... Plan is to meet up with the Lusaka Hire 4x4 in Mongu...
Looks like everything is ready to go, including a SnoMaster 42 in freezer mode (for the Freelander/Prado crews - 4 adults) running off a separate 100Ah deep-cycle car battery charging continuously (whilst driving) from the Prado 150's cargo bay 2-pin AC220V plug point with a CTEK MXS 5.0 and with 158KW solar panels when parked in Liuwa for 5 days...
The SnoMaster will be plugged into the 12V female while on the road and switched over to the deep-cycle bat when stationary overnight...
Frozen precooked meals + ice bricks will be migrated from the SnoMaster to a Romer cool box to be maintained in "fridge" mode...
The Prado 150's 2 adults (my wife and I) are sleeping in a WildEarth RTT and the Fortuner1/Freelander2 crews (4 adults, 2 teens) are ground camping. The Lusaka Hire 4x4 (2 adults) set-up is unknown at this point...
Can't wait to see the Liuwa wildebeest migration and fly fish for tigers at Kabula Lodge on the way home... Am hoping it all goes according to plan...
Good luck and enjoy
