If you use an offroad trailer/caravan as intended it will at some stage sustain damage. No manufacturer will give lifelong warranties. I must post pics of how my dad's Echo trailer looks!!!!! The flippen handbrake doesn't even exist anymore!!!! Battered by rocks from gravel travel. It is not 8yrs old.

I have an old BL (150). I bought it 3 years ago from someone living in Hermanus. Only visible rust I can see is the wheel hub caps. There might be another bolt or two.
Previous owner did a lot of long distance gravel trips into Africa, so a lot of stone chips evident. Not one of these places shows any signs of rust. I would not think anybody should worry about this item.
My previous trailor (that my brother now owns) is another story.

Only negative for me (gogga) is the access. Would have liked a better solution there. But due to the compactness of the van, I suppose there was not a lot of options. With Boabab that was addressed (real pity the door can't open fully with jack in the way). Ratel door is great.
Pros: everything else, from ease of using (erecting, living, taking down) , towing (weight and stability and size) , packing space, kitchen, support, keeping value, ext ext ext. I smile every time from the moment I hook.
There is no other van on the market that is beter, maybe close, maybe equal (I doubt). In my opinion the best package on the market, fact is: you can't go wrong (if it fits your budget
Some people think Enduro Bikes is a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude!I can assure them its much more serious than that

It would be a really valuable contribution to this thread if you could list such manufacturers and the exact detail of what components this lifetime guarantees cover. A list like that will be very helpful for decision making purposes for any future buyer.

You cannot compare a Leatherman to a camping trailer.....if something breaks on a leatherman, one part easily replaced with another part manufactured in China. Cheap as chips.

Well, that is a relief. You obviously did not bother to read my first post. If you had, you would have seen this thread go off on a tangent from my original comments, but I kept it alive to see where it went to - to my great amusement. But I guess that will be lost on you too. My guess in that there are some vested interests in this thread that have been threatened.
I will be checking out the BL stand at the Beeld Show this weekend, and might well buy one. So you see, it's a case of hook, line and sinker.

This is then in direct contradiction with your first statement. With other words, what you are saying is that you did an in depth study, considering the pro's and the cons of two manufacturers, and after consulting your family, made an informative decision on a product, that to the best of your knowledge suit your spesific needs, best.

The BL fans may not agree with this statements, but yes I have my reasons.
