I see the OP made reference to the Abarth version. Although the dash should be the same.

    Hi
    Thanks Willis and Marius.
My question......The dash cluster has an outer ring with speedo and rev counter and an inner circle with info such as odo, time , date, etc.
Because the gauges are set so deeply into the dash, the inner circle is always illuminated whilst driving but for some strange reason the outer ring with the speedo does not light up. This makes it very difficult to read the speedo. If you put the lights on, the outer ring will then illuminate. The agents reckon this is normal but I can't believe this is true....what's more important, the speedo or the time?

Willis, could you check your Abarth's system for me?
    Thanks.

I will have a look at see if it is the same.

I do find driving it in the day I cant always read the cluster properly so I drive with my lights on so it lights up the cluster much better
