    Talking Durban/Highway area outing

Is anyone interested in getting together for an outing Sunday in this area?
    Suggestions gladly accepted.
Preferably a small group (less than ten vehicles) so we can cover more ground and play plenty.
Come on KZN lets go play in the mud.

You hid this from me. I was looking under KZN. I'm in, and after the rain I'm sure grant might be.

Two vehicles in the rain, I think the wise thing is to not go,,, but at about midday, I am plotting to explore further down the valley, not tackling hectic stuff, more like a scenic drive with mud. Meet at the top of Inchanga, where the road past the Land Rover experienc meets I think Old main road. I will be going from Assagy,(Mother in law has taken a bad turn, we need to visit.) and should be there before 12.

We had a most enjoyable ride. Down the valley and along the rocky section. I have no photos so I hope Plasterbug posts some, I think he has some great shots.

I will get the photos off my daughter's computer and post the cool shots here tomorrow.

Here are some pictures from the outing.
My daughter was testing her new camera and I think she should be promoted to official outing photographer.

And This is what happens if you don't test the depth of the water before venturing in.... Me stuck in a hole made by a Toyota last year.

    Hi Guys
Would love to join in the fun, but......
    I joined the forum a few weeks ago when I thought I had a 4x4, but...now I dont
I am looking at a 97 LC GX 80 4.5L petrol for R155000 with lots of extras, but havent made my final decision. (R155000 is the current retail)
Maybe you can give me your opinion. Send me your e-mail address and I can send photos. The car is in Bloem, has 185000km. This is the 3rd owner but has no service history at all.
    Cheers
    Raymond

No service history, 3rd owner... offer him R120000 or less.. in the current climate you can get away with murder.
With that big motor are you only going to use it on weekends/trips where consumption is not an issue?

    Hi Raymond and welcome.

Sorry to hear you losing the 4x4, but does this mean you are changing your name from Terracan?

I agree with Mark. 120 000 or lower. There are a few LC 80's on the net with dealers that have extras in the region of 130 000.

    Great vehicle though. Good luck.
    Paul.

Good to see someone around these parts is keeping the KZN thread alive...

Would love to say yes, but am up to my armpits till late Feb...might be able to squeeze one in after the 4wd guide course.

    Keep it up.

Bob is the one with all the knowledge!
(I am busy sucking all the knowledge of the local jaunts from him)

    Hey Bob! Where are you?

    How about another waterfall?
    Anyone know of one?
Black 90.. do you know of anything interesting for a day trip that others may know of.. we can jog their memories or invite them along.
