Your amarok is so light on fuel you won't have to worry about it for a while stil

I know the VW sedans have manual release from inside the boot. What does the manual say?

I will touch base with dealer today.
But it is now working again.left it open just in case. The pin is clean and no dust on it.So it is not dirt jamming it.
When I stand by the flap and lock and unlock th car ,I hear the destinct locking and unlocking of the pin.Testing it by depressing the pin it works perfect.
Thus I surmize that there is some malfunction of the ecu. Will have dealer check for me.

My previous 2010 Amarok also did that, specially if they try to open the flap without me unlocking is. What I did was lock the doors, wait a few seconds and then unlocked again

Ok the mechanic at Zimmermanns advised me that if the car is locked and the flap gets closed after locking the freezing issue starts as in my case.
I refueled on Thursday and locked the car to go pay before the flap was closed.
I am considering disconnecting the switch locking power supply to leave it in an unlocked position .
