Gearbox conversion

I would please like to find out if anybody has done a toyota 3.0 d4d gearbox conversion on their manhindra scorpio 2.2 mhawk?

Not yet but can be done with the correct adapter plate and modification of the prop shaft and mounts for the gearbox.

Surely cheaper, faster and easier just getting a second hand original box?

I have previously investigated the matter.

There is a guy in Pretoria who specializes in the adapter plate / gearbox conversion. If I could remember correctly, he said it would take about a week because it would be his first on a Mahindra. After the first it will be a lot faster because then he has the template.

I have done the gearbox conversion to the toyota hilux 3.0D4D gearbox. I have never had a beter driving exprerience in a mahindra before. Will recoomend it if you have gearbox issues

Toyota box hey, I have the standard Mahindra 5 speed in the mHawk pik up and was thinking of the advantages of swapping to the S10 6 speed.

Is that a straight swap? Has anyone done it? Is it not worth doing it?
