And today I am loading a fridge body, that used to live on a 4 ton truck. Going down to the KZN South Coast. I am estimating it at max 2 ton.

But I will post some pics.

I am visiting at my Mom for the day. So still here in Scottburgh.

But this trailer is now a champion. Ran beautifully. Brakes are great. None of the steep declines were a challenge.

Will see what I can load today in the line of pitchas.

Just a quick clip. Sorry, was just on a cell phone. (The owner of the container took it.)

    Nice!

Do you also pull the vehicle down on its own suspension?

No. I only secure the wheels. I rely on the cars suspension to help reduce the hammering the trailer takes.

If you make the load rigid, it will kill the trailer on the very rough roads.

Well, the 1HDFTE motor makes that I can rush if I want. I just put in long hours and that way I cover a lot of distance, legally.

    Hi Henri.
May I add my thanks for fetching the trailer and for the professional manner in which you handled it.
    Kind regards

And then I brought back a project from Hazyview.

This is the one with the round windscreen.

Well, this backyard piece of scrap is doing brilliantly. I love it.

    The brakes don't get hot.
    The bearings don't get hot.
    The tyres don't get hot.
    She runs true.
    Extremely stable.

I drove behind it for a few km. That combination is very stable.

Saw this in the US and immediately thought of you. Maybe you should get a rig like this. Then you can recover anything...... Click image for larger version.
