Default Trip planning help needed please!!!

    Hi,

I have to plan a trip for about 20 high school students to Botswana in June this year. However i have never been to Botswana myself so have no clue where to go. its for 8 days and would like to make it a 4x4 trip and will be camping.

Does anyone have any advice of nice camp sites (affordable) and a lekker route?

    Any advice welcome!!!!

    Regards
    Nick

    Hi Nick,

How big is your 4x4 - for 20 students?

Mind you June might be booked out in the most popular places in the game parks, but maybe this is not the aim, but more like open-air event in the bush, then the destination changes.
Please give some more clues of what the group will expect to see/do.

    Hi Kalahari Safari,

Sorry for the late reply my internet was down. I am thinking a more open-air event with great scenery! Not wanting to do serious 4x4ing though as not really fully equipped for it but will be nice to go off the main roads a bit and do a bit of offroading.

    Okay Nick,

I think you have to find a bit of seclusion as the event of yours could get a bit noisy and most people here don't appreciate "celebrations" that go with it.
You certainly don't go the game perks for the purpose, now what to propose..........thinking ............. still thinking............

Let me come back on this after some considerations.

    Hey Nick,

I see the proposals are few so far so let me start:
One destination could be the Kaa area north of Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park.
Either you access it through the SA side via Twee Rivieren (2R) - Nossob and head north to Kaa gate then continue towards Hukuntsi.
You deal with the local community for camp access and so you have the chance having the available ones to yourselves.
A bit of restraint is required in the official camps, but again 2r and Nossob are more villages than wildlife destinations.

Alternatively Tsodilo hills East of the Panhandle in Northern Bostwana.
Again you deal with the community and can assure some "private" location not to get entangled with other visitors.

Hope you get some more suggestions -good luck.
