    Default Diesel pump calibration-ists...

I remember a post in the old forum where someone had their diesel pump calibated by hand(!) at a place called Delta or Delco or something like that?

    Does anyone remember this?

I have a 2.2d diesel Renault Laguna that (as much as I hate Renault) absolutely love - it's fast enough, comfortable in the way only Frenchman can achieve, has one electonic part in the entire engine (the diesel cut off solenoid) and does an honest 6 - 7l/100km around town and at 130km'h. I've just had the catalytic converter cut out which looks like it was blocked solid (the vehicle has 200k+ km on it) and now although it is more zippy, it smokes under acceleration. I'd like to make sure that it is not overfueling.

    Regards
    Dave

Hmmm - seems that the vehicle is not smoking so much any more - suspect the blocked cat caused soot build up in the manifold and maybe it was blowing that accumulation out?
