If you will see flowers is still questionable! but apart from that:

    • Kudu Kaya & Oppi Dam both great camping spots
    • 2 nights camping in Sutherland! You must either be very brave or have lots of heaters to take along!
    • I would stay away from Lamberts Bay caravan Park, rather try the caravan park opposite the Muisbosskerm.

Sendelingsdrift camping sight in the Ais Ais/Richtersveld Transfrontier Park is known to be noisy what with all the mining activity right there. Consider booking 2 nights at Richtersberg camp and 2 nights at De Hoop.

just be carefull at Tietiesbaai. There were some reports of break-in during night. Search function under Western Cape section.

Yes, Tietiesbaai is a nice scenic campsite but sadly you have to watch your belongings and do guard duty at night!

I would skip Tietiesbaai. One goes camping to relax, not the do 24/7 guard duty.

In my experience the 15 th August is when the flowers peak. You should see lots of it.
