    The good:

    Lot's of standard spec

    • Air conditioning system
    • Interior ambient lighting
    • radio "composition phone"
    • 4 doors, hinged rear side windows
    • Chrome molding on the tailgate
    • Customized installation
    • Left/right vent bezels and controls for radio and HVAC painted in chrome
    • 2 head restraints in rear, lowerable
    • Carpet mats in front and rear
    • Dash pad "cross"
    • Electromechanical power steering
    • Gearshift knob in leather
    • Hand brake lever handle in leather, hand brake lever button in chrome
    • Interior door handle in chrome
    • Leather-wrapped multi-function steering wheel
    • light gray headliner
    • Luggage compartment cover
    • Luggage compartment floor adjustable in 2 heights and removable
    • Manual height adjustment for right front seat
    • Standard floor covering
    • Unsplit rear bench seat, 2 seats, asymmetric split folding backrest
    • Without seat heater
    • 2 speakers
    • Radio "Composition Phone"
    • USB interface
    • 3-point seat belt for outer rear seats
    • Airbag for driver and front passenger
    • Combined curtain and side airbags in front
    • Electronic Stability Control with Hill Start Assist, ABS, ASR, EBD, and EDTC
    • Exterior mirrors power-adjustable and heated
    • Front fog lamps and cornering light
    • Halogen headlamps and turn signals under one clear lens with LED separate daytime running light
    • Separate daytime running light
    • 4 alloy wheels "Kalamata" 6J x 16
    • Black protective side molding with "cross up!" nameplate
    • Bumpers in sports style, three colors, chrome trim for front fog lamps
    • Exterior mirror housings painted in light silver
    • Roof rails, silver-anodized
    • Steel spare wheel 5J x 14, for 15-inch, 16-inch and 17-inch wheels and for models with start-stop system
    • Tailpipe left
    • Tool kit and jack
    • Central locking system without SAFELOCK, incl. radio remote control
    • Instrument cluster, km/h speedometer
    • Multi-function display "Plus"
    • Power windows in front
    • Smoker's package - cigarette lighter and removable ashtray in front
    • Tire Pressure Monitoring System
    • Chassis with ground clearance increased by about 15 mm
    • Rough-road version
    • Two-tone horn

    The bad:

    Puny 55kW & 95Nm motor.

Add some desirable options and it gets pricey

    • Any other color than white: R1000
    • Navigation & touch screen radio: R5700
    • 6 speakers instead of 2: R1000
    • Cruise control & park distance control (cannot be ordered separately) : R4300
    • Winter pack (heated front seats and fog lights) : R1200

So for R210K you have a highly specced well made runabout that can do some gravel but is a bit slow.

    The ugly:

    There's NO SERVICE PLAN...

I need to find out what a service plan will cost VS paying for services myself.
Okay a 3 year 45000km service plan is R4800. Intervals are 15000km or 1 year.

    500 and 500X are 2 different cars!

I don't look at the overall rating.

I look at the crash tests .

I seriously couldn't give a continental about pedestrian safety or whether there is a light to remind me to tell the back seat passengers to put on their seat belt

Get a Honda Jazz and be finished, it's a runabout so forget about the damn looks. You should see the cargo space with the seats folded into the floor, it's incredible!

I'm probably only buy very late this year or very early next year to have a 2018 model, so this thread might annoy you for a while still

In the context of this thread, you referred to the wrong car. Not our fault. Nobody in their right mind would buy a 500x, just like they wouldn't buy a Etios.

Hey I bought an Etios so what are you saying

I broke it though and got a full refund so technically I didn't buy it.
