    Default Cederberg Astronomical Observatory

Anyone heading out to Cederberg this weekend is welcome to make a turn at the observatory. Most weekends have open nights on Saturdays where the public can come view the stars through our telescopes.

Visit the website below for more details.

    From Cape Town:
Travel 200km along the N7 North toward Clanwilliam. Look out for the sign reading Algeria Forest Station some 28km after the Citrusdal turn-off. Take the Algeria Forest Station turn (gravel road). The observatory is then 48km from the turn-off, about 1 km BEFORE the Dwarsrivier farmstead on the Maltese Cross Rd.

I'll be there on Saturday enjoying some trails and helping set up scopes.
Anyone that can recommend me a good free trail I can take on the weekend for 2 or 3 hours gets bonus time on my scope

Not really, there is some space available for scouts and so on but there is plenty of accommodation in the surrounding area. A quick search on google should help you out.
