    Cool My Jimny

I have recently bought a 2014 Jimny in stock form after looking for one for more than 3 years.
    Stock Bridgestone Dueller HT's
I will use this thread as my upgrade thread as time goes on.

    I have currently added

    - 30W RMS Pioneer Co-Axials in the front
    - Spare wheel Cover
    - Started on the rear box for extra storage & a flat surface when the rear seats are flat

I have sent the Wheel cover away to be Modified, to add a pocket on the front, as well as make a custom additional wheel cover, with a few additional extras on it.

I have also had some time to work on the rear box again.
Need to find the proper hinges still. Managed to add the extra mounting for the boxon he front where the Jack is stored, 6mm Bolt and nut with washers.
Also managed to cover the Lid in the meantime. Used 3M spray, and it actually works like a charm, and not so messy....just expensive.
I had some Flexidip left from my wheels on my previous car, so I decided to spray the inside where the jack and other tools will be housed, just for some protection from scratching, but it seems it was too little, so now I need to buy another Can so that I can finish it off.

Got my other spare wheel cover back yesterday.
Fairly big pocket on the front with decent zips.
I had Eyes put on the back so that you can put a lock on, as I have heard of a few being stolen off.
I want to have the Suzuki Rhino Heat printed on the back in white.

Had some spare time the weekend.
Managed to finish off the rear Box

Couldn't find the counter flap hinge I was looking for and decided to go with the Piano hinge. Not the fully flush finish I was looking for but Function over form I suppose. I mounted the Handle of the Jack to the lid same as it was on the hardboard, just did a McGuyver with the clips. Drilled a small hole on the top, and put a long self Tapper through it. Sits ok, hopefully it doesn't come loose, otherwise I would have to rethink that. Don't trust scissor jacks, so probably will be replacing it soon anyway.

I sorted out the Jimny's asthma problems - Seeing that I will be doing mainly tar roads most of the time as its my daily driver, I opted for a K&N flat filter. And immediately the throttle response feels better. I will monitor the inside of the air box to see how dusty the conditions are over a week period, to ensure that the engine doest take in additional dust with the additional air, but I reckon it should be ok. Original filter now lives in my boot, in case we hit the dusty roads.

I added rear speakers, Opted for 5 1/4" Phoenix Gold RX edition, as these give off a nicer midrange base than the others in that price range. 50w RMS, as I eventually plan on changing the Radio, and I really don't want to take those panels off again lol. very time consuming. The speakers sit very very slightly above the mounting hole, as the mounting diameter is slightly more that 5", but I just added some foam tape around the speaker so that it sits nice and snug.(I thought I took pics, but I didnt)

    Nicely done.

I shoved some roof insulation into those cavities by the wheel well. Helped a bit with sound dampening.

I was thinking about something like that, but for some reason didn't do it....Shouldve done it while everything was apart but anyway

Congrats! you'll love every bit of it. Its not much of a build thread, more just upgrades as I go along. So if theres something that will give someone else ideas, then great.

Ordered the recovery Points from Zombi Offroad....and they Arrived in the week! Very impressive, and good quality! Front and rear. Didn't take a picture of the Front. Super easy to fit.....30 minutes and back and front were on! Supplied with Bolts, which was really cool! Zombie Offroad FTW.
Got a set of Michelin Mats on sale on Takealot....I'm a sucker for sales

Just need to get some Recovery straps, then I need to stop spending money for a while and get it offroad!

Nice indeed, pity the rear recovery points can't work when towbar is installed. Please post pictures of the front one's, I want see if they will work with the LA Sport bumper.

Bought a 72W 35 CM LED BAR, just need to get the Relay harness still, and fit it, will probably be fitting two of these.

Received my Tauro Pull strap last week,

Bought a 4x4 Community Sticker for the back window

Installed roofracks for the LED bar - I have this feeling its going to look weird though because the racks sit so far back on the roof.

Bought some rubber sheets to make Mudflaps, but still considering whether to do it or not, and need to find some time to do the Light Bar. Still need to decide whether to drill into the blanks for the switch or try and find a switch that fits the Blank.

Suzuki want R600 for the Fog lamp switch

Need to find maybe a set of steelies or some other wheels to put on while I have mine sprayed.....any donors welcome :-)
