Ek gaan so maak.

Paar mooi Cruisers.

So Swambo said she would like the Cruiser to sound like a v8. Swambo ordered a De Graaf system with a silencer speced by me.
Swambo asked me to install the new system on the Cruiser. I blindly obeyed and did as she asked.

Cruiser now sounds like a proper v8. Swambo ask me to do some performance tests. We did three runs before and three after 0 to 100.
The Cruiser improved by 2 seconds on average between the runs.

Me think the Cruiser is no girly car anymore.

Thumbs up for De Graaf for a system that fitted perfectly. Also thanks for listening to an old toppie to alter the system to his likes.

Hy gaan nou lag lag to by sy rooi.

Ever since I owned a vehicle I have tested them on the hill crossing the Kuruman mountain range from Kathu.
I have a marker there. Would travel 120 till I reach this marker floor it and see what my speed will be in reaching my next marker at the crest.

The v8 Cruiser only managed 130km/h in the past. Tested it on Saturday and it made 143.
The exhaust, EGR and air box mod seems to pay off. Still experimenting with the air box once I am satisfied I plan to build an alu replacement.

I would love to do the 5th gear mod but at this stage I would like to run a test with 33`s and 35`s before making the final decision.
Afraid that the ratio change may affect towing ability. Maybe an overdrive like I have on the Yank Ranger bolted in front of the gearbox. That will keep the current ratios with and option of over drive in all gears. In effect you will have a ten speed gearbox.

One day when I am big, I would like to be able to afford a Cruiser. Cruiser drivers must certainly be the envy of the road.

For the time being, and money being tight, I would have to look elsewhere.

Enjoy the Cruiser. It's a fantastic vehicle

Ok so I bite the bullet and traded the Volla bus on a 79 4.0l v6 Cruiser.

Plan to rig it and fit an Abba camper for overlanding.

Will post pic`s on Monday when delivered.
