I recently had my overheated Defender V8 engine repaired by Salisbury Landy in Nelspruit. Unbeknown to me they replaced the existing engine mountings with two low quality plastic type mountings, and also omitted to reinstall the shields over the mountings and starter motor protecting them from excessive eat. Pictures below show the result. Within 200 km's they completely collapsed, causing the fan blades to lock onto the radiator housing. Lucky that a vigilant driver saw the temperature gauge rising and stopped in time to avoid the engine overheating again.
Salisbury Landy fully covered replacement parts, but are not covering additional cost of getting mechanic on site for follow up repair. I'd be interested to hear of other Land Rover owners experience with Salisbury?
