Jip, I have a fairly large canister high up in the exhaust followed by a smaller one ... according to the workshop manual the larger one is the cat and the smaller one the "exhaust flexible pipe". I see that the DPF is situated much further down the exhaust (sort of underneath the right side back seat) and should be very easy to spot - I definitely do not have a DPF.

    Learned so much again
Yes then you have a cat.

Btw, on a petrol you don't need to regen, because there is no soot to burn.

Great, thank you! So ... if I put 2SO in my diesel truck I don't need a cat? (just a joke )

I had the white smoke in the mornings problem. Disappeared after a couple of minutes. The problem was solved by having the injectors re-calibrated. This is done by the dealer using their plug in software. No injector removal or cleaning of anything.

The big commercial diesels also apparently have their injectors calibrated regularly.
