    Apologies
This is what happens when you return from a trip with no internet and try and catchup too quickly.

We did the trail in late May to early June. Started at Onseepkans all the way to Alexander Bay. Beautiful scenery but honestly felt robbed of the R450.00 per section as the roads are public and not maintained or sufficiently signposted. I support paying for the campsites, now at R200.00 per night, but the map and directions does not justify the cost of the route.
If you follow the left hand road at the entrance to Ramansdrift you have access to the grassed area right by the river. I would suggest you spend as much time there as possible as this is by far the best spot on the trip for us.
We hope to do the trip again in the future.

    Goodday
We are planning to do the Namakwa Eco trail in April 2021. Can one do this road with 4x4 and 4x4 caravan?
    Kind regards

Yes it is doable, with an off road caravan. a lot of people do the route with one in tow

You can check on YouTube for some great trip recordings

I explore some slightly off the track spots on the Namakwa eco trail. If you have booked the trail and you are doing it these spots might be worth the visit.
I can not tell you that these spots are open to visit, but no one will stop you from going in and if done responsibly and with no impact to the spots it can be done sustainably.

Part 2, I did not manage to explore it fully, that will have to be a future trip.
