    Default Still HUMMERing ...

So, it has been very quiet on these parts, but the HUMMER Owners Club has been quite busy on the trails, most recent being Hennops followed by De Wildt, the latter a few weeks ago.

For my part, I have started what I call "Project Bulletproof", which are initiatives to further strengthen my already tough HUMMER. A 2007 H3 Adventure which now sits at 225000km (bought at 78k in August 2012, never left me by the roadside).

I have had the aluminium front differential housing replaced with a cast-iron one (from later model Adventures and the V8 Alpha), and not because there was a failure, just because.

It turns out that this comes with wiring for a front locker (which is currently unused) and we will see how the control pans out once my Transfer Case Controller is delivered - This device has a self-contained control algorithm but I'll still have to check the wiring harness, etc.
