    Default Armadillo Van

Hi, I am new to the forum, been reading most of the threads posted.
last week my wife and I took delivery of our off road van, towing from Cape Town to Port Elizabeth demonstrated how stable and easy she was to tow.

the people at Eko Veld Gear are wonderful people to do business with, hope they sell many more vans.

O ja, amper vergeet............Armadillo, VERY nice buy that. At more than R 100 000 less, I'd also be looking very long and hard at one of those. I actually called the Eko guys last week, they sound very helpful, informative and friendly.

PLEASE show some more pics of the insides etc etc??

May I also humbly (seriously guys) ask that BL owners do NOT comment on this and that, every time there is a new product Thread here that resembles their product??

The Threads get deleted, and believe it or not, there ARE some of us who are interested in something else than the ultimate, the BL.

Hi Petrie, we will be camping end July for our first trial run, will certainly post pic's of the inside and full set-up once we are back, I too have resisted the temptation to respond to the comments made by other members regarding the shape etc, to me that is immaterial to why we purchased this van, and agree with you, the people at Eko were and still are extremely helpful and accommodating.
to those members who offered their congratulations, thank you.

Imho, no problem to copy, if you can do it better and cheaper. Competition is good for us buyers. And it put pressure on the originals to step up. Congrats

Nice looking van. Personally I would at glance, not mistake this for something else. Pity the other threads went boom before all could be revealed.

To OP, enjoy. Getting out there and enjoying nature is what it is all about .

Congrats, may you have plenty fun with your new van. I am also in the market for a van and had a look at all the other makes. I looked at the pictures of the Armadillo as well as the price and believe you me; this will surely be my first choice. All the other makes are equally amazing vans, unfortunately at not so amazing price. Before I can place my order I need to see one in person though. Unfortunately they are a bit far for a quick look.

Agreed, I typed a post very similar to yours but then saw the "request" that BL owners stop commenting every where, then never posted my reply.

From me to the OP as well: enjoy your van. 8) There are amazing places where we are so privileged to get to with our off-road vans.

While we are waiting for the OP pics: sometimes, only sometimes Google is your friend : http://ekoveldgear.co.za/Trailors.htm.

Petrie, the Fortuner has a chip, as long as the momentum is maintained on an uphill the Tuna pulls fine, I towed the van easily , 4 people in car with luggage , the van tare is 1060kg, without water, food or fridge .
very stable even when had to overtake at 120kph and brake hard for misbehaving truck.
