Cause of problem(if known): Unknown - Mahindra Vaal claims that the two bolts holding the bracket in place either rattled loose or where scheered off. The latter is absurd as there are no further damage to the vehicle. The bolts were supposedly check during the 25k repair process.

Goodday. I have a problem with my 2007 Mahindra Scorpio 2.6 TDI glx SUV. It struggle to start in the mornings. What I noticed is that the low pressure pump is loosing pressure overnight and if you pump it, it becomes tight but still if pressing hard it feels that it is passing. I have changed the 2 filters as it was smelling diesel when running and there was plenty of smoke an rough idling and now power. Now there is power after changing the filters. On idling there is blue smoke from the exhaust and driving slowly at about 40 -50 km/h it remains there but driving at 70-90 km/h it disappears. What can be the problem.

Handbrake not working properly if at all after many attempts to fix, not going on 4x4 tracks because of it.
Alternator packed up, replaced with Nissan 2.5 diesel alt, only put the old pulley on - perfect fit.
Replaced seats.
For the rest, no problems.!

Problem: Screeching noise on acceleration. Only when vehicle has reached operating temperature and been stopped for 10 minutes to 2 hours. Not present when started from cold in the morning and when it does happen goes away when driven for more than 3 KM. Very unusual.

Upon workshop inspection of vehicle mechanic also picked up pinhole leak in expansion tank and apparently thermostat is not working properly although the vehicle has not overheated. All will be covered by warranty.
