Problem: Knocking noise at the right front CV. Heard it first when I got the bakkie as demo in January 2009. Problem slowly got worse until I asked them to check it at the 30K service. They told me it was a stone behind the dust cover, but at 38K is was clear there is a problem and it's getting worse.
Cause of problem(if known): CV more than likely damaged while it was a demo car and it slowly got worse.

Problem: Right front CV at the hub popped on an easy sandy hill on a Mitsubishi approved training track. Shaft had to be removed right there as the CV completely disintegrated. The drive shaft was only 3000km old at the time.
Cause of problem(if known): Unsure, should not have broken on such an easy sandy hill.
Specifics of repair work carried out: Front drive shaft replaced. Had to wait almost 3 weeks for the new shaft as it's not kept in stock in South Africa.
