Problem: Engine management light comes on after about 100km/h, noise from wheels when driving, like keys dangling.
Cause of problem(if known):GM Vanderbijlpark could not fix the problem after four visits and 195000km service
Specifics of repair work carried out: Plugged in the clutch connector but problem still persists with management light. They say it is my calipars cause the rattle (suspicious) and qouted me R4500 for that repair.
Cost of repair:R3600 for 19500km service and R280 for resetting service light(which did not work) and use of computers.
Who did the repair:GM Vanderbijlpark (Imeprial)
    Vehicle under warranty, Y/N:N
    Was damage covered by warranty:N/A

Default GM refuses to honour warranty after agent error

Update: Following intervention by Pieter van Zyl from Wesbank Klerksdorp (my hero on this case), the vehicle was collected by the seller (Midway Motors) and delivered to Westvaal Klerksdorp - and after some behind the scenes efforts (& fighting), GM provided a new head for the vehicle and Midway/Westvaal both contributed to repair the vehicle. It therefore remains under warranty (one of my conditions) and although all 3 parties still claim their innocence in contributing to my debacle, Pieter clearly did a fine job of squaring all into a corner from where they could not escape.

(But alas: Upon receiving the vehicle back, it had to be sent in for a serious check-up to tighten a few lose pipes, belts and bolts - so much for the final test drive...) So now the vehicle is in the market - kicking me in the face like they had, GM will not do anymore business with us. And hopefully not with any of my friends, colleagues, contacts, acquaintances, etc. Quite sad, because Isuzu's are good vehicles - the GM risk is just too much.

    Model: 250 Dtech (pre-facelift)
    Year: 2012
    Mileage: 85 000 km (acquired at ~83 400 km)
    Problem: Blown head-gasket (possibly more)

Cause of problem (if known): Clogged radiator core - never cleaned during services at agent (Westvaal Klerksdorp), as per admission by the workshop manager, in spite of routine requirement in service schedule. (“Radiators are only cleaned when overheating is experienced or if requested by owners” ??!!)

Specifics of repair work carried out: Repairs not yet done – Radiator core was cleaned by Barloworld GM Centurion – their formal report identified Westvaal Klerksdorp as culprit (GMSA must therefore take responsibility).

Cost of repair: Barloworld GM Centurion estimation is R30 000+
Who did the repair: Not done yet

Vehicle under warranty, Y/N: Y - although GM South Africa refuses responsibility, claiming a bizarre reason (exposed as a lie) to blame the previous owner [WHO MAINTAINED THE FULL SERVICE RECORD WITH THE AGENT (Westvaal Klerksdorp).

Was damage covered by warranty: GMSA refuses to honour warranty. Case was referred to MIOSA, but progress is very very very slow
