Default Bad quality and non-existant after-sales-service

    Model: Tata Safari 4x4
    Year: 2009
    Mileage: <5000
Problem: Alignment of backseats completely out
Cause of problem(if known): Bent frames, bad quality control
Specifics of repair work carried out: Tata Diep River sent it to auto trimmers, who tried to fix the problem as best as they could, by inserting extra foam under the leather, but it still looks bad!
    Cost of repair: R0,00
Who did the repair: It is still not fixed, after 3 tries!
    Vehicle under warranty, Y/N: Yes
Was damage covered by warranty: Haven't paid anything, so I suppose I should say yes, yet, since the problem isn't fixed, it might cost me still...

Update: after a long fight with Tata via email, and copying the mail to all the email addresses I could find on the website (SA and India) they have now ordered a new back seat from India, and will replace it. Now just a question of when this is going to happen...

    Default Electrical problems

    Model: Tata Safari 4x4
    Year: 2009
    Mileage: 9000
Problem: Electrical system has hick-ups: vehicle starts losing power while driving, shudders, the "service" light comes on, and, until I restart, I have to make do with less power, and the revs seem limited to 3500. Also, the battery cuts out sometimes, so I can't start, or worse, can't unlock the vehicle...
Cause of problem(if known): I wish I knew, so I could tell the fools how to fix it!
Specifics of repair work carried out: Tata Tokai serviced the vehicle, and tried to find the problem. They found a tear in the earth strap () and have to other a new one from India!
    Cost of repair: R0,00
Who did the repair: It is still not fixed...
    Vehicle under warranty, Y/N: Yes
Was damage covered by warranty: Has to be, otherwise I will take them to the ombudsman!
