Got a quote on BF Mud Terrain KM2's (35/12.5/17) for R4860 each. This sounds surprisingly cheap to me given the size, and relative to Cooper STT Pro's at +- R5700 each.
Would like to know if someone else bought KM2's in this size recently? Am I bluffing myself if I think it's a relative good price or has one seen these cheaper somewhere else perhaps?

The Coopers AT3s are a 70 road 30 offroad unlike the General Grabbers which is a 50/50 tyre. So traction will be alot less on the Coopers

I struggled long and hard with the limited choices I was faced with for the 18's in my Touareg.
Since Pirelli don't have the Scorpions in 18" and several Touareg owners complained about road noise and balancing problems with the General Grabbers, I was stuck with Hankook or COOPERS. I chose the COOPERS and I would chose them over and over again!

Nobody except apparently one place in Boksburg or Benoni can balance wheels this large, but I don't bother - a Mog is not fast enough :-)

Considering that the Michelin XZLs that I had on would cost R15k each to replace in this size, it's a very good deal. The will be put through their paces at Carnage Canyon in June, which will show if they can take some serious rock climbing with 4 ton on top of them.

AT3 P spec is aprox the same as the Grabbers. Then you also get AT3 in LT spec which is much stronger. Then you get into the ST Maxx and STT which is stronger still.
