What camera are you using and how do you handle backup and editing on the road?

Haha. Thanks Man. Unfortunately I had pretty terrible gear. Shot with a Canon 7D with Sigma 150 - 600mm contemporary of a beanbag. you learn so much on your first trip. Next time Iwill shoot with much better gear then you might see it on discovery.HEHE

Backups are the biggest hassle of the entire thing. Each night you have to get all the footage off all the cameras and back them up to 2 hard drives which I always kept in 2 different places in the car. I also tried to always have one backup on me when leaving the car for shopping etc.(just incase) . Its stressful!

Editing you simply do during the day in the car while theres nothing happening and the animals are asleep. or at night in bed. IT'S NOT FOR EVERYONE. You are always busy filming and editing and charging stuff and making backups etc. It get really really tiring some days. Especially when its been a long day of driving and stopping every 10min to shoot something. If its not your passion its not worth it. You loose so much of your holiday doing it. You NEVER get to just relax.Theres ALWAYS work on shooting to do.

But that said. We love it. And we are REALLY driven by making other people happy when they see the stuff we shoot. I cannot tell you how many times I want to give up and then someone comments on a video on youtube saying they loved it etc. It really pushes us to do more and help people get off their ass and see the world. We have BIG plans to take the show to the point where we can help the people in Africa better their lives.

Its just a matter of getting to the point of enough subscribers and exposure before we make the big step.
