Default Inflating 4 tyres at once - DIY Inflator

So I made this recently There's a hand valve at each end so that you can close off each valve...this means that you equalize pressure between 2-4 tyres and also pump and deflate 1-4 tyres at once. I wouldn't use this to deflate tyres as there is a lot of pipe to unravel but it makes inflating easier as you inflate all 4 tyres at the same time.

Another perk I discovered after making it is that the gauge doesn't go up to 4.5 bar like it used to when inflating just one tyre, it now sits close to the actual pressure. This means that I don't have to turn on and off compressor every 5 minutes to check the actual pressure.

In the third pic you can see the original brass valve connector that I removed, along with the black pipe that connects to the back of the gauge, and this is where I joined the new blue pipes.

Fittings are 1/4" standard air fittings as well as 10mm push-in fittings. The push-in fittings are great as you remove sections at will. In the second last pic you can see a short blue pipe from the gauge to the T-piece fitting and I just disconnect that to make it easier to pack up and store away. Air pipe is rated at 10 Bar, so more than capable of doing the job.

Another nice feature is that all fittings and pipe is modular and easily interchangeable. If I need to I can very easily replace any item.

All in all it cost about R1000 and I'm sure I could've got it a bit cheaper if I really had to shop around for parts but for convenience sake I bought everything from the same tyre-fittings distributor.

Air pipes are long enough for my wheelbase but if I get something bigger one-day then I can just buy more air pipe nice and modular

Oh, and the last perk is that I don't have to stretch that yellow curly pipe all the way to the back tyre on the other side of the car...always feels like it's stretched too far
