The "Booming Beaver" perhaps the US Navy's smallest boat tugs smaller ships and and deploys underwater security fences.

Originally built for the logging industry the US Navy saw their potential and bought them to perform duties in naval harbors.

    Just thinking out loud here...

Is this just a lucky shot as the satellite flies past... or was there some consideration for any the following... a quick list off the top of my head for any landscape photographer to be mindful of and get to line up for a good pic...

    Location
Position / Vantage Point / Composition / Foreground and Background / Leading lines
    Timing
    Weather
    Lighting direction and angle
    Equipment, body and lens
    DOF
    Holding steady
    Exposure - HDR?

Equipment, location and position are a given here, but for all the other elements, how many times does the satellite pass the same place to provide that opportunity?

    Political Correctness
Political Correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional illogical minority, rabidly promoted by a unscrupulous mainstream media which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd ... by the clean end!

Saw this in a pub - no idea why the wife does not see it so:
I'm not opinionated ... I'm just always right!

These guys up there takes thousands of photos of the surface of the earth and experience probably taught them the best settings.
Because image is well light I would imagine 1/125 @ f8 would give pretty good results or at least a starting point.

Knowing exactly when the ISS will pass where is a matter of anticipating the right moment but I'm also sure it is the best of many shots taken as is habit with modern cameras.

Luckily they didn't make it complicated.

I can just IMAGINE that here in JBay...drivers can't even figure out how to use a normal roundabout....
