OK...so this one is more about the music than the actual photo, but thought I'd post it anyway.

    Meet Francisco Tárrega.

Listen to his song below called Gran Vals, specifically from about 12 seconds in.

Never realised this was from an actual piece of music.

    Anyway, I found it interesting.

Listen carefully... in the ringtone used, some wally decided the musical phrase needed a note added at the end. The original composition does not have that last note.

Lençóis Maranhenses National Park (Parque Nacional dos Lençóis Maranhenses[a]) is a national park located in Maranhão state in northeastern Brazil, just east of the Baía de São José. Protected on June 2, 1981, the 155,000 ha (380,000-acre) park includes 70 km (43 mi) of coastline, and an interior composed of rolling sand dunes. During the rainy season, the valleys among the dunes fill with freshwater lagoons, prevented from draining due to the impermeable rock beneath.

Garbage collectors in Turkey opened a library full of books discarded by people.

The library was initially intended to be used solely by employees and their families, but as interest grew, it officially opened to the public.

Since word of the library has spread, people have started donating their unwanted books to the cause.

Today in 1976 the Apple 1 was assembled for the first time.

The Apple Computer 1, originally released as the Apple Computer, also known later as the Apple I, or Apple-1, is a desktop computer released by the Apple Computer Company (now Apple Inc.) in 1976. It was designed and hand-built by Steve Wozniak.[2][3] The idea of selling the computer came from Wozniak's friend Steve Jobs.[4][5] The Apple I was Apple's first product, and to finance its creation, Jobs sold his only motorized means of transportation, a VW Microbus,[6] for a few hundred dollars (Wozniak later said that Jobs planned instead to use his bicycle to get around), and Wozniak sold his HP-65 calculator for $500.[7] Wozniak demonstrated the first prototype in July 1976 at the Homebrew Computer Club in Palo Alto, California.[8]

    Today in 1928:

A German Junkers W 33 aircraft that made the first successful transatlantic aeroplane flight from east to west.

Of course not the first to cross the Atlantic, as the first crossing was done much earlier. But that was West to East. East to West was much more difficult due to the prevailing winds.

You can read more here - quite a story: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bremen_(aircraft)
