Default Gravel road next to limpopo

Just checked garmin basecamp with t4a and see there is a gravel road from just before Beitbridge (on SA side) right up to Mapungubwe.
Any info regarding this road? Looks like it can be a good drive.

It can also be bloody awful. Best would be to check with someone who lives in the area. Big parts of the dirt roads in Limpopo province against the river sustained flood damage recently.

    Just to give some feedback.
We drove the road and it was quite an experience.
It is actually a tar road that is busy disintegrating but not too bad to drive.
Some nice little lookout points on the river.
Only problem is that the road ends on the farm of Piet Esterhuyse. Apparently the road washed away quite a while ago already.
A very grumpy boer that eventually gave me permission to drive through his farm to get back to the road.
It was quite an eye opener to see the kilometres of double fences and gates on this road.
They are now disintegrating since protection of our border is clearly not a high priority any more.
