Just Cape Town. They were clearly afraid we might starve to death in the 2 hours it will take to get there.

Now Emmie, this might appeal to you. I have been running a little book when I fly where I record what meal I get served. You see, when I get asked do I want the chicken or the beef, I normally reply, ''you choose for me''. This elicits consternation however, and to date, I get given the beef 93.3% of the time.

I have never asked why I was given the beef. There has to be some form of assumption being made by the person giving me the beef.

Not all the times that I fly have a meal where chicken or beef is an option.

Some flights are outside of the chicken or beef menu times.

I can calculate the probability of there being chicken and beef available as well as the probability of there not being one or the other.

What a fun thing to do.

Our choices yesterday were beef or fish stew. So no chicken choice.

I have been offered some surprising meals on planes. It makes me very curious as to how they decide what to offer.

I used to fly quite often with my previous job. Nile perch was on the menu with Ethiopean airways.

I enjoyed that airline very much.

Chicken or beef seems to be the norm.

Looking forward to this. I am not a pudding person so shy away from doing them.
