With The Blonde and youngest Blonde away, tonight is a team effort with the teenage Blonde. Onion and bacon fried in the skottel to start with.

Last night in Clarens Braai, chicken wings, thin Brisket, corn and pork chops... Pork is really a under estimated meat, so good on the braai, and of course some boerewors Click image for larger version.

Standup taters again but using sweet-potato this time. First I fried marrow bones, removed the marrow and placed the taters in the fat to cook on one end.

Added garlic, turned them around and added butter. Lid goes on to cook through and absorb the lovely sauce.

A variation I came up with this morning of the beer can burger to be done in the Cobb. Breakfast for the family and bottled oxtail for me.

Been doing a lot of cooking in the cast iron pots lately. Packed the stainless ones away a while ago.

Today whipped up a great home made lasagne with a cheese and garlic ciabatta on the side.

Riaan ek moes jou burgers probeer die naweek.

Prep werk was so 2 ure en kook (braai) op die Cobb so 45 minutes (2 patties op 'n slag) om dit medium rare te kry.

    Hoe gemaak:
