Been busy building a new Braai area and pizza oven, Braai no problem, pizza a challenge... I had to demolish it and start again as they supplied me the wrong cement, but today we Klapped it made good progress... Inside diameter is 1000mmClick image for larger version.

Marinated pork sosaties from my favourite butchery in Hluhluwe. It started raining so I transferred some coals to my fold up braai and moved the show under the afdak.

Seeing that the teenage Blonde likes nyama, I am serving this as is. No need to confuse the issue with salad and other nonsense.

So this is more of a "It WAS time". I saw a recipe in one of the travel magazines of this Nutella and Strawberry pizza. Whilst camping at Pretoriuskop a couple of weeks ago, we decided to give it a try. Although the recipe does cover the making of the dough also, I took shortcut and bought ready made dough from our local Spar. I then rolled this out relatively flat and put it on the gas plate until brown and done on both sides. It then got a thick spread of Nutella and then covered with sliced strawberries. All I can say is that we wished we had some more strawberries.

Danie, if we ever get to camp again, I am making that for the Blondes, on a fire somewhere. Thanks for the idea!

The other nice one that does not involve any cooking is strawberries with condensed milk

Got back to Markus's late but with reason to celebrate, our daughter has weekend leave from hospital and Markus, the genuine guy he is, had a fire ready as myself and The Blonde walked in. He did homemade marinated chicken breasts on the fire.
