    mmmmm....

    kind of...

but it is a big pot of deliciousness....

    Decent Toulouse sausages - R60
    Couple of Duck breasts.. R100
    Smoked Eisbein.... R50
Smoked Pork Fillet (all I could get, I wanted smoked rashers or something more exotic) R100

    Pot of duck fat... R30
    Piece of Pig skin... R6
    Beans... R5
Chicken stock, well, free as it's made from the chicken that will be tomorrow's prawn and chicken curry......
    Veg... say R30
wood for the pizza oven.... R20
few breadcrumbs for the top... free really. stale bread.

but it's going to be epic and enough for 8 people as usual!

the leftovers will be superb too!

Not fair - In the Transkei, I'm going to Spur tonight with the grandchildren. Luckily I know how to force Spur to make a half decent meal. Will post later.

Glad to see you aren't making a cassoulet maigre. Leave most of the fat in, don't drain it. Easy on the breadcrumbs.

why on earth would anyone remove any fat?

The breadcrumbs are actually a cheat. In the perfect world the crust is formed by the beans on the top.....

never quite got it right I'm afraid to say. but I shall try again tonight!

    Enjoy the Spur!
