Default Searching For Campsites,Backpackers,Places Of Interest, Mountain Passes And Eateries

Found a real “old ballies bar” in Mtunzini this weekend.... goes by the name of Buccaneers... and by the looks of it, you need to be over 50 to get a seat at the bar. Nice friendly barman and patrons though.... and the beer was bitterly cold.

Default Searching For Campsites,Backpackers,Places Of Interest, Mountain Passes And Eateries

A great weekend camping with Riaan and The Blonde at Mlalazi this last weekend.... all for the princely sum of R100.00 per night. The campsites were really nice and the ablutions dated, but fully functional and clean. The manager was extremely hands on, and made sure that all were happy.... great to see. There is another campsite on the lagoon side which also looked very good, as well as walkways through the coastal mangroves as well as the Raphia Palm Monument.... all in all a great weekend with plenty to see and do..., definitely with a look.

Spent the weekend on the farm, and once again the Freestate did not disappoint with some gorgeous sunsets.

    We can absolutely recommend this.

We stop there every time we pass by (and we prefer the N11 to the N3 - that's for sure - much much more interesting) - eish, just the trucks avoiding the tolls ....

We spent the weekend at the Richards Bay Caravan Park to celebrate Riaan and The Blonde’s nuptials....not the kind of campsite we would normally frequent, but we were mightily impressed with the huge grassy stands, abundance of shady trees and spotless ablutions.... one of the best mainstream camps we have ever been to.....highly recommend.

Almost a mini GTG with SA Jeep(Marais),Leeubok (Riekert), Spoor(Danie, he of the Patrol) and Gavin,he of the neatest D2 in existence in attendance... great weekend with great people.

If you ever find yourself in Chatsworth in Durban, be sure to look up Cafe Medina.....their fiery Tikka Chicken is life changing, and can feed a family of 4 for R139.00. Their Bombay Crush is also excellent and needed to quell the fire in your mouth..... soooo hot yet incredibly tasty.
