Default The good son - The Colt 2.8 NA Journey

Been trolling this forum for a while, first interest was when I wanted to solve my dad's 4M40 2002 engine and transplant with Lexus motor. Became clear that one would need to get a good surgeon, and it was clear that they are as rare as hen's teeth.

The original donkey motor is running again - donkey because it's NA, thus contemplating slapping the 2.8 TDi motor in there.

Your post is a little confusing.

What engine is fitted currently? Because the 4m40 is not NA.

Currently still running the 4M40 N/A. Wanted to originally install a Lexus, but it's clear I need a very reputable transplanter.

Are you saying the 4m40 came out in a normal aspirated version as well

In what vehicles were those fitted if indeed?

The colt had the 2.8D engine as well as the 2.8Tdi. Not sure about the engine codes.

I still fail to understand why they made the 4x4 N/A. It's a real donkey at 71kw
Will need to investigate the work and feasibility of transplanting a TDi into the ol' man's ass.
