Default Jimny front seat swap out

For me the seats are seriously uncomfortable on longer trips. 4 hrs plus. They are killing me.

Anyone that had them swapped out.

What make have you replaced it with. Not interested in autozone racing bucket seats.

Will do modifications if i have to. I just need propper comfortable seats and fast.

Any advice ? Any proposals ?

It will be difficult, as the Jimny is a small vehicle. The seats need to be replaced with something similar in dimensions. Hilux seats will never fit.

Thanks. The bottom of backrest there seem to be a metal piece inside upright backredt. It is running horizontally just above where seat and upright backrest meets. Feels like a pipe going through. That 'pipe' seems to be hitting my back just where buttocks start. So very low down my backside.

Apparently the swift seats are a straight swap. I say apparently as I've read it online but never tried it myself.

    Hi

I bought my Jimny in 2013, did a trip to Namibia in 2014. After the first day from Pretoria down to Agrabies i couldn't walk, stand, sit or move. Found that my spine wasn't supported in the middle.

Got myself a regular cushion in the dip and then put some sport seat covers over it. Works like a charm. Going to investigate Airhawk cushions next to see if I can improve on what I have now.

    Kind Regards

Can't if it'll fit, but the Swift seat is very comfortable. Actually, I wish they would fit out the Jimny like a Swift, maybe the next model?

I have already decided to visit local suzuki to try the swift seat and I will definately be the guinea pig if they comfortably. After you mentioned it last night i googled it a bit. I see swift driver seat also can go up and down that is a huge plus for the small missus. Will update after the visit to a swift.

Yes it is right down by the dip I also seem to have the issue. But I will go try a swift seat tommorow. Its either seats go or jimny go. I love the little hopper so seats it is that need to go

From day one I found the seat too low.
I wedge an old pillow into the low part, works ok.
What would a Swift seat cost ?

Ironically enough I find the bucket seats in the SJ quite comfortable, a bit bulky though but have spent countless hours in them and no complaints other than getting in and out takes getting used to.

Also really Interested. My wife has arthritis and her hips kill her on long journeys, I was considering selling and getting a short wheel base pajero but I live the jimny so a seat swap would be awesome. We have no kids or back seats for that matter so even if the seats are a bit bigger I am not bothered.

I have investigated this aswell as Im looking for lumbar support and we'll heated seats.... I miss my heated seats as i hate a heater and refuse to switch it on.

I found that the Mercedes A class recardo seats will fit, yes the bracket will need some mods, but the seat sizes match the Jimny's.

Well just a little feedback. Did go to suzuki as i think it wil make the swap with the least modifications.

Tried the swift. They definately softer but i specifically looked at the structure and found that bar also at the bottom of the backrest. So even they feel good I an a bit reluctant.

However the suzuki Ciaz have an awesome set of seats. Awaiting prices on them. Also seem to fit according to my measurements. The seat internal structure is however completely different and willing to give them a go if prices are good. They also do not have the metal pipe at bottom of back upright section.

I have driven vw last 20 years and still have vw platkar. Now those seats are comfy for me. If all else fails i might see if a vw set might fit. That will make me happy. Will go measure up the platkar seats but i think they might be to big.

What vw? Leather seats? If yes that's recardo's and yes they are great seats.... That's why I looked for recardo's that will fit...
