Pity it isn't a separate camera on a cable that I can route to and attach to the rear window, have little need of capturing the inside of cabin...

The plug in cam with extra wire runs at back is a product from about 3 years ago. it is less reliable and the quality isnít as good. It was mainly used in the field by small delivery vehicles to see the loading of stock.

The latest dual view dashcam has a new processor and is a more compact unit. It offers 2 cameras build into 1 body. It gives you a combination of 2 video feeds with a timeline. Which provide dual view capability both inside and outside of vehicle to offer video footage that was only seen before from Topgear, offroad racing and other professional media productions.

Travelling with your family in the vehicle is about the experience of the journey and not just the destination and now with the Dual view dashcam you can capture both. The dual view dashcam also solves the problem of a user that couldnít have the cabin view when there was a priceless moment during the on/off road adventure.

This dual view dashcam offers selfie angle which covers side window in case you run into a road block.

This is just what I've been looking for, very nice.

As a matter of interest, will the first gen EagleEye dashcam mount work with this one?

Huge pity that it is restricted to a card with max size of 32g. Even more so when there are 2 cameras.
I've had 128g cards in my phone and tablet for years now.

On driving holidays I like to record whole days for possible later review offline. 32g will fill up way too fast at 1080+720.

I record about 8hrs on 720 on the 32Gb. Quality not bad. I also like to keep recording for full day. I copy to laptop every evening. It does take up plenty storage.

I have also set it to 720. Still very good quality. The 8 to 9 hours recording is good enough for me.

Yeah, same here. On long days at 1080p, you start losing older footage. And that is on single-camera view. So I'm guessing if you were to use both cameras (can you disable one?), your time before looping would reduce to 4-5 hours. But I don't have one to test.

Yes, and even at 720, you need serious storage space if you touring. 32Gb x days😮

    Off topic, but relevant:

Get a Google drive unlimited storage plan. $9.99/month and you never run out of space. When travelling with no signal, a single 1TB external will last you 30 days, which is probably enough.

WD My Passport Wireless Wi-Fi Mobile Storage

looks like a nice option with its built-in SD slot and of course the wi-fi.

    But oh, the price tag

New firmware now supports 64GB memory card (Adata UHS-i)

Eagleye single view dashcam's GPS suction mount won't fit with Eagleye Dual view dashcam.

    64GB recording time:

    720P front cam+ 720P rear cam = 9h22m
    1080p front cam + 720p rear cam = 6h40m

Is it possible to disable the rear cam and only record the front cam? If so, any idea of recording time on front 1080p?

Also, does the firmware upgrade allow up to 64g only, or will 128g work as well?
