    Post 1983/1984 Land Rover 110?

    Hi all

I've been searching around for a 1983/1984 Landy One Ten to buy as a project of sorts. Specifically those early One Tens as I'm looking for one with the sliding windows bodywork. I've been looking for a bit now and every time I come across one I always seem to just miss it by a few days. Was wondering if anyone on the forum knows of a possibly not wanted/tlc-needing/possibly-for-sale One Ten hanging around and looking for a new home as an expedition vehicle alongside my Series 1 Disco?

Regards and thanks in advance for any leads

    One of these?

    Sorry, sold it

It had the coil spring suspension, but doors like the older series models. The door handles are also those recessed ones with the lever you pull up like on a series truck.

Sold mine 7 years ago. Many, many 100's of 1000's km under the belt, but still got R 50 000 back then. I think.

There are not many like those around. Good luck finding one.

Yeah, exactly like that! With the recessed handles and sliding windows. So basically a series body, but with wheel arch flares and riding on the modernised could spring and disc brake chassis!

Oh well, a shame that it's sold, but perhaps I'll run into it in my searching

I know of one, but the guy wats R200k for it. And he is a skelm. He traded me a td5 defender for a td5 disco knowing the head was shot. He even cut the obd plug so we cant check for error codes. Next day when I had the vehicle inspected he blocked my number when I tried to call him.

Geez, that's a bummer. Is the guy on the forum?

Yeah, absolutely hate to hear about guys doing stuff like that, especially if they disappear afterward... Even if it were a 110 worth R200k (although it would probably have to be a camel trophy car or absolutely immaculate then), wouldn't buy it just because of the guy's history

GaryFrank has one I think. Either a slider window or a winder window model but definitely an early One Ten. You MIGHT be able to twist his arm. But he's in Slaapstad.

Thanks very much for the tip! Will message him and see how attached he is to it... Spend quite a bit of time in Slaapstad anyway so that shouldn't be a problem

Thanks Gary, I'm sorry, but to be honest I was hoping for a station wagon and not a pick-up. I'd be interested to talk to you more about yours CarloIsuzu though?

Nope. Really scarce. I'd say a 1989 County Station Wagon was probably the first V8 SW imported and they had normal handles and winder windows.

Not bothered about the county spec part of it. Just liked the look of that one. Just want that body configuration, i.e. 5 door 110. There was a 1983 one for sale not too long ago. Have attached picture. Came up again end of last year without the roof and window tops anymore but sold too quick for me

    Hi Dave,
My partner has exactly what you have described sitting in Greater Kruger. 110 with a 109 safari roof, split windscreen, sliding windows, coil springs, v8. Call me if you are interested.

I see that even in the UK these are very hard to come by.
