Was at Mahindra East Rand Mall yesterday getting the auto wiper function sorted and asked them how much to get a snorkel fitted.
The spares dept told me that they do not supply & fit, & if they did, it would be around R 9 k!

    That looks more like it.
I've just been to another local Mahindra dealer but he'll "get back to me with a price".

    That's nuts.

Get the kit from Summit, you wont be sorry. I have purchased snorkel kits from them before, and it was a totally do-able Saturday afternoon project to fit it.

    Hi Eric,
That is certainly a reasonable price, but as I've mentioned, judging by some of the posts here, Mahindra are very sticky about add on's covered by their warranty, unless they're done by their dealers with 'approved' parts.

    Thanks for that.
I did pop into Fitment Zone in Benoni yesterday & they quoted me R 1200 to fit.
I know where HiQ is so will go there today.
Looks like the Summit is going to be the one to fit.

    Hi,

Aha, now there's a point I didn't think about. Sorry. My vehicles are always out of warranty when I buy them, so no need for me to even think about that stuff. :-)

That looks Good. What did it set you back if I may ask? Obviously there is a LH & RH.
I wouldn't mind changing my rear RH one to a LH as the load net grabs nicely on the coat hanger mount and then put the old one on the driver's side.

That bare steel is going to be freezing in winter, burning in summer when heated by direct sun. Get some sponge or leather cover where your arm rests.
