Default Versus Series IX - Ladies 4x4 Challenge

It's been nearly 2 years since I last hosted a Versus Series Event.
Time for another, and I felt it would be best to re-start with the popular 'Ladies Challenge'...

Please Note: This is open to all (But driver must be a Bona Fide Women)

Versus Series: IX - Ladies 4x4 Challenge

    Date: Saturday 18 February 2017
Time: 08:30 paid, deflated & ready
    Venue: De Wildt
    Cost: +/- R 250.00 */vehicle
    Judge: Mad Manny
    Rules: Woman Drivers only
The husband/partner may act as Navi - but if you two argue, you're disqualified!

    Who's Swambo is in?

    * I'll chat to De Wildt about pricing, once I have numbers...

YES, I know the first Bridgestone Qualifier is on the same day...

My Swambo is a navigator master. As some of you may know as apparently my driving is as good as my tent awning skills ha ha. I'll chat to her and see if you can make it in the Fortuner.

For clarity, what exactly is a "bona fide woman" Manny?

    As opposed to?

Maybe an example or two of both categories?

I'm worried you felt the need to ask...

Swambo, the defending champion, just needs to check whether she has any events on that day, and then she's in.

Don't forget there were two winners on the day, my SWAMBO also achieved the pinnacle of off-roading challenges by being awarded joint winner by the esteemed Mad Manny

This is what happened last time (in 2015):

Unlike Sakkies Bridgestone Challenges - here the Jimny's enjoyed no advantage!

    My views:
Firstly, thanks to the guys like Andrewfus, Rechard & Stranger who came to support.

Secondly, all the ladies drove very well. If you remove vehicle capabilities etc. there was not one lady who did not impress.

I felt that Solette (despite WillemVan's never-ending articulation) & Danae (Mrs KurtG) were most impressive as they did everything - including Gert se Klip despite being complete Newbies.

NatalieJ fortunately ripped half her Jimny's bumper off - I say fortunately because now they can get a steel replacement bumper.

I Drove up Gert se Klip with Natalie (Bulli's wife - not the Jimny Bumper Natalie). The Jeep was horrible (aren't they all!), it started spinning & clearly had no functioning Quadra Drive/TC - yet she handled it calmly & managed to proceed (With Willem's help).

Danae also stood spinning on Gert Se Klip, she also was a true pro.

Bulli's Jeep also ripped part of it's self off (? Jeeps).

John Angelblooms brought his mum, wife, daughter & TWO stonking 4x4's - John is almost a rolling, self-contained GTG on his own.

    Then a few final comments:

Rainier & RynoB get "Most anticipated no-show' award. At least they are consistent in their unreliability.

Raymond/Dude1978 was asked by De Wildt to recover a Jimny stuck in the mud pit.
Raymond & I drove up - Raymond assessed the situation in seconds & was convinced the Jimny could be revered out.
He asked if they tried, they mis-understood the question & said yes.
Raymond had a look again & again asked. They said no & Raymond got in & reversed out.
Well done Raymond! Good & rapid assessment of the situation & great knowledge of the Jimny.
But then he is on SuzukiAuto4x4 & Action Group Committees...

Finally - De Wildt: One of a few 4x4 venues run by a business man who cares for his customer. Always a nice venue.
