Hi Guys
I've lived in the South Peninsula, Cape Town for about 15 years and never saw a drongo closer than the Boland. However, in the last year or so, I've had three different drongo sightings in the Fish hoek/Simonstown area. I'm very fond of these birds, they have such character and always remind me of bush trips. Anybody else down South had drongos around recently?

They are definitely moving south - we have a pair nesting on our smallholding between Rooi Els and Pringle Bay, first time ever.

I had also never seen them this Cape Town side until about 5 years ago, now see them once a month Durbanville side.
I saw one in Hentiesbay last year October which totally surprised me!
Awesome birds with such character, at my inlaws in Knysna we feed them cheese out our hands daily.

We have Glossy Starlings and Grey Hornbills in Pretoria, so yeah, some species ranges are definitely expanding.
For some reason, much fewer Indian Mynahs to be seen around here these days.
