    Default Prado 120 CV joints

    Hi,

    I have a 2006 VX Prado 4.0L with 140,000km on.

Vehicle in very good condition. Did a Ironman Foam Cell suspension upgrade about 6 months ago.

Was having a rattle, and climbed underneath car, and saw both sides' CV joints emitting lots of grease.

What are the possible reasons? Worn out CV joints at 140kms? Both sides? Or maybe something to do with the suspension lift?

    Thanks guys,

    Regards

    Hennie

Hi hennie. Had the same issue on mine after suspension lift. Think its the change in angle. Filled up with grease and replaced clamps and all good now. Cheers karl

Only issue was two torn CV rubber boots.

New boots: R2000 per set (per side), thus R4k for new CV joint covers :-(

R4k just for 4 BOOTS?! Not even replacement joints, just the boots?
