    Default 2015 amarok

    Morning everyone,

With my family growing I decided to look for a bakkie instead of the duster. The duster is an amazing softroader but space is getting limited with all the stuff a need to lug around just to go visit someone. I'm not even going to mention going camping😂

I have found a decent low mileage amarok 2015 4motion auto.
I for the life of me cannot find on the interweb how to determine what engine model it is. Like on the the older gti's you could look at the vin and determine if it was a bwa motor or not.

I believe there was an update or something on the bakkie in 2015 hence I want to see which one I'm looking at.

On a side note I cannot contain my excitement and be logical at the same time.

Hi QuintonRs, the vin number is still the indicator for year model.I will confirm to which digit it is.I do have a 2015 model that needs servicing today.I will let you know after confirming with the agents.

QuintonRS, the following is for used for the VIN nr.
First 3 digits indicate Vw devition like commercial.

4 to 6 to which market like Australia, 7 and 8 Descripter of vehicle like 2H - Amarok.

Digit 9 is the filling digit.

Digit 10 is year model F for 2015 model.

Digit 11 is country where it was made.

Digit 12 to 17 unique to each vehicle.

I Hope this help. This is according to me the best vehicle you can buy.Enjoy the this it because this feeling is getting better by the day when you start driving it.

There are updates on the Amarok, and all VWs, every year.

Engine wise, all the auto 4x4s are the same, ie 132kw.

Yes, what Clubbie said is correct. If it's the 4-Motion Auto - it's basically the top-of-the-range.

And the best bakkie available today in my humble opinion..

    Congratulations!!!.
You will love it but now you have a few huge problems:
    1. Your wife will want to drive it all the time.....
    2. You will never ever want to be without it again.....
    3. Hilux and Ranger fans who can not come to terms with reality....
    4. You will find excuses to drive it and put on many more kilometers quickly than you want to...
