I have been fortunate over the years yes indeed, having lived in Sodwana, Manguze ( Kosi Bay), Ingwavuma and Melmoth and having had to travel across Zululand for work for the last 20 years or so. Also fortunate to have had a dad who instilled, from a young age, an acute awareness of the world around us and an awareness of the richness of our history here. Having been an only child helped cultivate this search for "meaning" - ( you have lots and lots of time for thinking, growing up by yourself in the bush) and in later years the camera made all these things come together in pictures.
