Tyre road noise : Cooper AT vs GY Wrangler AT/SA

Hi there. Bought my 3.8 Pajero 2007 LWB earlier this year with the Cooper AT tyres on it. Experiencing quite a lot of road noise when compared to my previous experience when I had the Wranglers on my previous Pajero. Is this the norm that the Coopers tend to be more noisy in general as been professed by the "experts" at the tyre dealers. Tyres are balanced and without any obvious damages etc and have done rougly 40 000 km's. Any similar experiences out there?

The Wranglers are AT/SA. All Terrain, Silent Armor.

The Silent Armor is reportedly part of the construction that makes it quieter. I have them on my Isuzu (2001) and the engine makes more noise...
