To give you an answer regarding the different models offered in different markets, especially wrt Indian vehicles I would have to say it is a minefield of different variations and engine options. For example, the engine in my Bolero is only currently offered in S.A as far as I know(It may have been offered in the NZ and Aus markets but finding info is a nightmare) whilst the Indian market has a completely different engine in the same vehicle and have never offered the engine in my vehicle to their market either.

Are you quite sure the pipes are going to the steering box and not the fuel pump?

You do know that this is also an ECU controlled engine and you might need a diagnostic computer?

The good part of this is that spares are cheap.

Under R7k for a new ECU.

R200 for a cyclonic air filter.

    Starter motor about R2k new

Not burning CamaroMan but I'm not sure how you can be a proud owner of a Code 3 vehicle that can't start..........

I'll go take some pics later under my Xenons bonnet and then see if my phone will talk to my laptop.

But I'll be damned if I'm taking the engine cover off before the weekend.

Iemand gaan baie leer, of sy vingers brand. Diesel sisteem het niks met die powersteering uit te waai...

Hahaha ok ok, my first real bakkie!

So connected it up today, there was some blowby coming from the injectors, so will remove tomorrow and install new washers.. Nuts weren't very tight.

Battery struggled to swing motor, have another one I can try.

It almost sounded like it wanted to take, but barely.

Does it matter if I have a slight leak in intercooler hose? Will it start off does it need full pressure?

Worked all day, will be back tomorrow with more gees.

Anyway motor swings, bunch of fuses missing, will replace with 15amp ones..

If I swing and loosen injector nut it shd spray diesel cos I started bleeding it like this. Has this hand pump jol like a Outboard.. Primed as much as possible,

    Anyway more updates tomorrow :!

So we start with the pulley:

What does this drive, power steering? Beneath it is a funny looking canister.

Not sure if prev okes connected it right..

    What is this box?

This hose, what does it do? Comes from black box in pic above..

    Then this banjo hose :

It comes from what looks like the power steering box..

I'm sure the pulley in the first pic has a line running to steering box.. Giving hydraulic power, other line goes down past block.

    Engine bay:

Oh it's not a code 3,just light ding.. Chassis looks good and wheels straight.. Nothing welded or cracked, most components fine too..
