Default Pajero Sport or Ford Everest per 2011

I am in the market for a diesel 4x4 Auto and I have narrowed down the options in my budget to the Mitsubishi pajero or Ford everest 2009 - 2011. It will need to last me at least another 3 years.
It will be mum's taxi and used about twice a year for trips with a trailer.
My concerns are that the vehicles I am looking at are all over 100000Kms and I would like to know what are the price differences in parts and services.
Are there any known faults at a particular age/ mileage?
With regard to the Pajero sport I was under the impression that the parts/ services are more expensive than the Everest.
And my concern with regard to the Ford everest is that it doesn't come with a cruise control, which i feel is a must, and the way the rear door opens makes it difficult to operate with a trailer attached, however they are more affordable so for a reliable one should i overlook these gripes?
I have already looked at the other manufacturer's options, please can I get feedback from those people who have experience with these vehicles and have similar needs to mine.

Good choice to go for the Sport., I bought mine on 120,000km and now on 180,000km. No issues to report, it's a reliable comfortable vehicle and tows very well.

Having driven both, I would go for the Pajero Sport.

Decided to buy a pajero sport, managed to get a 2011 model with 145000kms on the clock. Just felt so much more comfortable and nicer to drive, thanks for all the input.
