Pandamatenga To Vic Falls

Has anyone recently traveled the Panda border to Vic Falls route I am trying to find out the condition of the road T4A says it is Corrugated tar with muddy areas., somewhere else I read it was dirt, and another report said it was recently tarred. I have some friends thinking of using it with road bikes and was looking for some updated info.

I've only done it in winter and then it's just a badly graded gravel road - last did it in 2013.

I guess in rainy season it could present a few challenges at low level river crossings.

Given Zim's financial woes I can't see it being tarred in the last couple of years??

I find it a nice detour to the Falls.

Was there last year June and its def 2 spoor....doubt if it will ever be tarred...

We drove to hwange on most of this road in August. It's a gravel road. Definitely no tar in sight. Not to bad but not sure of using a road bike on it.

Saw some lions on the road so be careful if you do use it

We were on Adv bikes.....I would not do this on a road bike!
